Selecting The Proper Campsite
So you have decided that you would like to take the family on a memorable camping vacation right? And where else in the world would one want to go camping? You guessed it, Disney Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground.
Renting a camper makes perfect sense. Let’s face it — most working class people that own an RV would be lucky to use it a few times a year, especially with the busy lifestyles of mom and dads. Not to mention all the extra expense involved. You need to have a proper tow rig and a place to store and maintain your RV.
If you’re traveling long distance, then forget about it. You can easily spend a $1,000 or more in fuel cost alone. Forget all about that. Let us show you how we can help plan your Disney vacation camping trip and save you money.

The Right RV: When staying at Fort Wilderness Campground you want to be very comfortable. You can choose between several different campers such as travel trailers and luxurious 5th wheel campers. You can view our Fort Wilderness RV rental units by taking a video tour to help you decide on the right RV rental unit for you and your family. We are here to answer any questions you might have.
A Good Night’s Sleep: All of our travel trailers and 5th wheel campers have memory foam toppers on the main bed. You can view our video tours to help you decide on the right camper rental for you and your family. We are here to answer any questions you might have.
Pet Friendly RV: We do not allow pets in all of our campers. Only in certain campers – which are clearly marked and classified as pet friendly – are pets allowed, 35 lbs and under. Currently only 3 are available. We understand that some families have allergies or other reason not to stay in a camper that has had a dog in it.
The Right RV Rental Company: It’s 2am and you’re returning back from Magic Kingdom only to find that you need assistance with your camper. Who is going to answer the phone or come to help at 2am? We at Florida Camper Rental are dedicated to our guest and will be there for you anytime that you need us.
We offer a very unique Fort Wilderness RV camper rental experience in which we provide for you ALL NECESSITIES and NO EXTRA CHARGE.
You just need to bring your food and clothes! We handle the rest!
A quick note: Official Fort Wilderness check in time is 1pm. If you’ve done the online check in with Disney up to 60 days in advance, on the day of your arrival, Disney will send you a text/email with your campsite assignment. You’ll need to forward that information to us for us to be able to get you set up. We can usually have the RV set up within one to three hours.
Preferred Campsites can accommodate some of our RVs and are the 100 200 300 loops and are located in the rear of the campground close to the Marina making it easy to walk to the boats to take you over to the Magic Kingdom or the Contemporary Resort. We do not recommend this category of campsite for any of our RV’s that are 36 ft or longer.
Premium Campsites can accommodate all RVs and are the largest campsites available. They consist of 400 500 600 700 800 900 1000 1100 1200 1300 1400 loops and have a larger all concrete pad and are located through out the campground.
Full Hook Up Campsites can accommodate many of our RVS and are the 1600 1700 1800 1900 2100 loops and have a small coquina shell rock pad in the back of the site. These sites tend to be a bit small for large RV’s and may cause an issue if you’re trying to park more than one car. We do not recommend this category for RV’s 36ft or larger for this reason.
Pop Up Campsites can accommodate Hybrid and Pop Up Campers Only and are located in the 1500 and 2000 loops. None of our RV’s can fit in this category. (No sewer drain)

Tent Pop Up Campsite: These campsites are the least expensive for your Fort Wilderness Camper Rental. None of our RV’s can fit on these sites.
Fort Wilderness Campground Full Hook Up Campsite: These campsites are the least expensive for putting 5th Wheels & Travel Trailers on. We do not recommend them however do to the fact that they smaller and can cause a conflict when parking large or two vehicles. Disney’s Fort Wilderness Campground Partial hook up sites all included a picnic table, electric, water, cable and a septic drain.
Fort Wilderness Campground Preferred Campsite: These campsites are moderate priced when staying at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Campground. They are located close to the Settlement where the ferry boat departs to take you to the Magic Kingdom or other resorts. Preferred sites have partial concrete pads with coquina and all include an upgraded picnic table, electric, water, cable and a septic drain.
Fort Wilderness Campground Premium Campsite: We highly recommend this category of campsites. These campsites are the most expensive when staying at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Campground. You will have plenty of room on these sites unlike all other categories. Premium sites have an all concrete large pads and all included an upgraded picnic table, electric, water, cable and a septic drain.
